Privacy Policy

This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use www.selfleadership.com and its subdomains (the "Site"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. Please read it alongside our Terms of Use.

1. WHO WE ARE

The controller of your personal data is Self Leadership International - FZCO, a free zone company incorporated in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, holding trade license 33687 issued by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, registered at Premises No. DSO-IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. 

2. WHAT WE COLLECT, WHY, AND ON WHAT BASIS

Technical data from your visit: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed.

Analytics data via Google Analytics, including a device identifier and truncated IP. To understand which content is read and improve it. Your consent, given through the cookie banner, lasts 14 months.

Inquiries: your name, email, phone, LinkedIn profile, or WhatsApp number, and what you tell us. To respond and discuss possible work. Steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding 24 months after our last contact.

Self-Leadership Snapshot Quiz and other assessments: your name, email, and answers, to send you your result and the follow-up material you requested. Your consent, until you unsubscribe.

Downloads and lead magnets: name and email, to send you the material you requested. Your consent, until you unsubscribe

We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we do not use your data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not seek special category data — such as health, beliefs or biometric data — and ask that you do not send it to us. Our assessments are development instruments, not clinical ones, and their results are not medical or psychological diagnoses.

3. COOKIES

Cookies strictly necessary to run the Site are set automatically. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you accept them, and you can review or change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page.

4. WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:

Kajabi — hosts the Site, its forms, our email sending, and the course platform.
Google Analytics — website measurement, where you have accepted analytics cookies.
[PAYMENT PROCESSOR] — takes payment. Card details go to them directly.
WhatsApp (Meta) — where you choose to contact us by WhatsApp, your message and number are processed by Meta under their own terms.
[BOOKING / SCHEDULING TOOL] — where you book a call with us.
[ANY VIDEO OR EMBED PROVIDER] — where content is embedded in a page.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or to a buyer if the business is sold.

5. SENDING DATA OUTSIDE THE EEA

We are established in the United Arab Emirates and several of our providers are in the United States, so your data will be transferred outside the European Economic Area. 6. YOUR RIGHTS

Where the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to: be told what we hold and get a copy of it; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased in certain circumstances; restrict how we use it; object to processing based on our legitimate interests; receive data you gave us in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt. You may also complain to the authority where you live or work.

7. MARKETING

We send marketing email only where you have opted in. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. Unsubscribing does not stop service messages about something you have bought.

8. CHILDREN

The Site is intended for people aged 18 or over and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. SECURITY

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and providers who maintain their own security standards. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will tell you and notify the relevant authority as the law requires.

10. LINKS AND EMBEDDED CONTENT

Pages may link to, or embed content from, other websites. Embedded content behaves as though you had visited that website directly: the provider may set cookies and track your interaction with it. We are not responsible for other websites' content or privacy practices — please read their notices before giving them information.

We may update this notice. The version published here is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you.

Andrew Bryant is the Founder of Self Leadership International (est. 1999), a Certified Speaking Professional, executive coach, and the author of five books, including the foundational academic text Self Leadership (Bryant & Kazan, McGraw-Hill, 2012), and his most recent work is POTENTIAL-IZE: How Leaders Unlock Human Potential in the Age of AI (Wiley, 2026).

What distinguishes Andrew in this space is not simply what he knows. It is what he has built. He co-authored the most widely cited working definition of self-leadership,  cited in peer-reviewed research, then spent the following years testing and refining that framework with executive leadership teams, Fortune 500 companies, Silicon Valley startups, and major multinationals across more than 40 countries.
